We often shame lower or dark emotions, patterns of addiction, negative thinking, and wounding, creating resistance. To transmute lower or dense consciousness derived from thought, wounding, or addiction, consider it separate from you—it is not the truth of you. It is an energy moving through you. This energy may become stuck or lodged within the physical body due to core wounds, creating a loop or pattern between the subconscious mind and the body. Consistent negative thinking or thought viruses perpetuate this loop or pattern, hijacking the mind. This lower or dense energy may seem real, but it’s not truth; it’s attracted to an active core wound from a past timeline within our being. By allowing and accepting with love, compassion, and awareness in the present moment, it will transmute. We have the power to choose how to work with it; we may opt for temporary fixes or confront the shadow and face it. When we face and accept shadow energy, we claim our power and wholeness. Accept it as lower consciousness moving through the field, allowing it to come into the light of awareness, where we can feel it. With awareness, acceptance, and feeling, the energy liberates.
Emotion is energy in motion, and consciousness is energy. As painful or intense emotions arise from this dense or shadowy consciousness, accept the emotion. Allow it to occupy space in the present moment, hold it in awareness as a witness, fully feel it, name it, and then allow it to transmute and liberate. It may feel like your body is literally metabolizing the emotion, and consequently the trauma or core wound that permitted it in the first place. This process is ongoing to transmute and liberate different forms of repressed emotional energy. As a highly sensitive being, it’s part of survival. As we heal, release, and liberate unresolved trauma underlying an active core wound, we free ourselves internally. As the internal landscape transforms, the external mirror begins to shift. We see the world with new eyes. Choose love and become the alchemist, time and time again.
Try the following statements the next time lower, dense, shadow consciousness, or intense emotion enters your field. If it feels right, place one palm on your belly and the other on your heart and repeat:
“I accept (insert emotion or feeling). I am safe. I allow this to move through my body without attachment but rather, with the light of awareness. I shine my light of awareness on (insert emotion or feeling) . I am a sovereign being of light. I am strong. I am a vessel of pure light. I am safe. I allow (insert emotion or feeling) to move through me without attachment. I am only a witness to it; it is not me—it is not the truth of me. My truth is Divine and Holy. I am safe. I choose love. I choose harmony. I choose peace. I choose liberation. I hold my body with love as I allow (insert emotion or feeling) to pass through me.”

SUFFERING AND RESISTANCE
by – Adyashanti
We suffer in the present from past experiences
In direct proportion to how much identity
we derive from that suffering.
The easiest way to keep dreaming
is thinking your dreaming is true.
Don’t get mixed up with the ‘whys’,
they will not help you.
Whatever you resist you become.
If you resist anger, you are always angry.
If you resist sadness, you are always sad.
If you resist suffering, you are always suffering.
If you resist confusion, you are always confused.
We think that we resist certain states because
they are there, but actually
they are there because we resist them.
